Small gifts for a birthday and then also for dinner – the perfect combination.
Anyone who is spontaneously invited to a birthday is perfectly equipped with these little cakes in waffle cups with chocolate. Small decorations with sugar sprinkles turn these mini cakes into a real eye-catcher.
They are conjured up pretty fast and ready to be eaten within a few minutes – a real last-minute tip. Try it out and enjoy it. The birthday child will certainly be very happy.

Ingredients
- 100 grams butter, soft
- 70 grams sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar, homemade
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 125 grams flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- Piping bag with perforated nozzle
- 24 waffle cups, small, with cocoa-based fat glaze
- 125 grams dark chocolate, optional
- Sugar decoration/sprinkles, optional

Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the 24 waffle cups on it.
Put the butter, vanilla sugar and sugar in the mixing bowl, beat 1 min. 30 seconds/speed 3 until smooth.
Add the eggs, mix 1 min./speed 3.
Put the flour and baking powder in the mixing bowl, mix for 1 min. 30 seconds/speed 3 to form a smooth dough.
Pour the batter into a piping bag with a perforated nozzle and fill the waffle cups ⅔.
Bake in the hot oven for approx. 15 minutes and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
Rinse mixing bowl.
Completion
Break the dark chocolate into pieces and place in the mixing bowl, mince 3 seconds/speed 7 and push down with the spatula.
Melt the chopped chocolate for 3 min./50°C/speed 1 and pour it into a small, tall glass.
Now dip the cooled cakes with the dough into the chocolate and sprinkle with the sugar sprinkles/decorations.
